Update: July 2009 – The link below is dead. Here’s an interactive map of Second Life.
I found a google map of Second Life. The map is designed to help you find Voice Enabled SIMs [ areas of land that have the new voice feature.] But it’s not tremendously useful for that now, since almost all or all sims are voice enabled now. But the map is very cool, since it’s the only way I know to get an overview of the entire world of SL. The inworld map stops showing land icons beyond a certain zoom-out level.
The dense group of SIMS in the South of the map with the brown colored desert sims is an area called Azure Islands, which is an independent land owner in SL. I have had various properties in this area since I joined SL.

Annouck Willunga and WindyWeather VanAlten have been seeing each other for a few weeks now. They met back in December 2006 and Annouck is Windy’s oldest friend in SL. They are now romantically involved as well as being friends and building and scripting buddies.
Megz and Windy are going steady in SL…
On 2 June, after knowing Megz for a few weeks, Windy asked her go steady with him. On 4 June, Windy presented Megz with a ring he made to commemorate their relationship. They wear matching gold rings with sapphire stones.

In May of 2007 I purchased a smaller lot in Pisces. During the next two weeks I constructed a modern house there with the features that I would need in my new location.

In April 2007 I purchased a large lot, 10Km2, in Taurus. Over the next month I worked on a design for a large Oriental Palace and completed the palace in early May 2007.

A fellow named Nielsen makes an excellent windsurfer for Second Life. I got one today. It’s not the only one going apparently. I hear tell there are other models that have jump capabilities. But this one is a beauty and relatively easy to control.

I’ve designed a new beach house for Second Life. This one has three “floors” to accommodate my photo studio, a lounge for dancing and parties, and of course, a bedroom. All the views are 360 and unobstructed. The “physics” of SL does not require actually supports, so one is free to design without regard to engineering reality. The house is about 60m high and the lower Studio floor is about 16x20m.
I’ve decided to build high-end houses for sale in SL. After some research on house plans I’ve chosen a few houses with brick or stone construction and turrets. The first house is called The Devereaux. Here are pictures as it took shape in Max and now in SL.
