Here are some interesting armor looks by mixing and matching various armors. Here our Guardian model is wearing a Heavy Armor mixed set with the Phalanx armor from the gem store on her legs with the Pit Fighter chest for a bare midriff. My taste is to keep the gloves and boots smaller and hide the shoulders and helm. This shows off the bare shoulder and arm and does not hide the hair style. Dyes are Winter Ice and Midnight Blue. Just perfect for exploring the Shiverpeak Mountains. She is wearing the “Full Makeover” exclusive hairdo with a flower and the dark blue hair color. |
This is a rear view of the above set. Draconic or any short boot will work if you have the skins. Phalanx boots are too tall for my taste. Also many gloves will work. These are Steel Splint armor gloves and boots.
This warrior is wearing her hard fought Flame Legion Dungeon armor Chest, Shoulders and Gloves, with the Phalanx legs and Draconic boots for a trimmer look below the waist. The Flame Legion armor just doesn’t show off a girl’s better points from the waist down. But we want to show off those flames that we worked so hard to get in the dungeon.
Another choice for Heavy Armor is the Gladiator Chest with the Phalanx legs.
Here a Steel Splint Chest piece and Shoulders cover better above the waist.
This Norn Ranger is modeling a Sneakthief chest with Viper legs and short boots. Again, the Viper boots are a bit tall for my taste. The Viper is a medium armor skin from the Gem store and includes this lovely short skirt. Sneakthief armor is from dungeon drops and is available for a reasonable price of about 1G for the less popular stats. Of course when we want skins, the stats don’t matter. And although this is level 80 armor, one can unlock the Sneakthief skins at any level and begin looking fashionable from early in the game.

This Sylvari Necromancer is wearing the Light Dry Bones armor which is perfect for Halloween. The wiki tells how to find the Dry Bones armor from Heart Karma merchants so you can get ready for Halloween from about level 30. The dyes are Toxic with Scarlet and Antique Gold trim. She is wearing the full set including the scary helm. |
Here is the rear view of the Dry Bones armor set.
Not to leave out the men, here is our Norn Guardian model wearing Draconic Heavy Armor in Midnight Blue and Lava trim. Very dashing for exploring the Cursed Shore. Draconic Heavy Armor is exotic crafted armor available from level 80 with 400 Armorsmithing.
I just found that there is another look for an Aqua Breather. This Helm style is available from a Quaggan in Snowden Cliffs. This may be the only Aqua Breather skin that does not look like a face mask. There is also a source in Frostforge Sound. Check the wiki for the location. We can all hope that we will soon be able to craft Aqua Breathers |
I’ve used Tables to construct this post. Enjoy.
